African leaders congratulate Donald trump, the newly elected 45th President of United States

Donald J. trump has been elected the 45th President of United States of America.

The 70 year old Republican Party front-runner earned 288 votes against his opponent contender Hillary Clinton falling short of 73 votes at a score of 215 votes as per the results on Wednesday morning.

Trump had polled 47.9% (representing 57.6 million votes) as against Clinton’s 47.3% (56.8 million votes.)

Percentage of polls for Trump was 47.9% i.e. 57.6 million votes against Hillary Clinton’s 47.3% representing 56.8 million votes.

Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza.was the first African leader to congratulate Trump via twitter.  Ghana’s John Dramani Mahama was the second one to congratulate. Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni posted his message to Mr Trump on his official twitter handle. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi congratulated Donald Trump on Wednesday on his victory in the U.S. presidential election.
