Another new COVID strain found in Nigeria, says Africa CDC

Coronavirus’s other new variant seems to have emerged in Nigeria. It was informed by the top of Africa’s disease control body. They are cautioning more investigation was needed. The discovery could increase new alarm within the pandemic. This is explored after some new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. They are appearing to be more contagious. These were announced within the UK and South Africa. This is resulting in the swift return of international travel restrictions and other measures even as the planet enters a vacation season.

According to sources, John Nkengasong, the head of the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said that It’s a separate lineage from the United Kingdom and South Africa”. They told on Thursday. Nkengasong said the Nigeria CDC and the African Center of Excellence for Genomics of Infectious Diseases are going to be analysing more samples.
