Mevlut Cavusoglu, a Foreign Minister heading a senior Turkish delegation in the Libyan capital Tripoli to hold talks with Libya’s internationally recognised government. Cavusoglu was accompanied by Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and intelligence chief Hakan Fidan in the meeting which took place on Wednesday. According to a GNA statement during the meeting, the Turkish officials discussed the “developments in the crisis” in Libya and the “international efforts for solutions” with Fayez al-Sarraj, head of the UN-brokered Government of National Accord (GNA).
The meeting also covered topics like, “monitoring of the establishment of the military and security memorandums of understanding” observed in November 2019 between the cities Tripoli and Ankara.
