Hail storm in Mozambique kills 12

Spread the news

A terrible hailstorm on Monday in Maputo has killed 12 people. This number might increase. The storm destroyed 55 houses and seven schools, according to Deputy Health Minister Mouzinho Saide.

Mozambique’s weather institute was criticised for not giving an early warning about the storm.

But the institute said it was not able to issue a warning as it did not have the right equipment to collect such information.
