It has been ordered that Senegal mobile phone users will be cut off if they do not register within the next two weeks; that is by November 10. The move for mandatory registration is taken to be a security measure in the fight against terrorism. It is strongly believed that phones can be used to plan terror attacks or even to trigger off blasts. It has been declared that to avoid being cut off by their networks, people in Senegal must show up in person at premises of their operator with their ID proofs to have their name and address registered.
