Welcome to the 1nd Anniversary Special Issue. There is a lot happening for further strengthening Africa-India partnerships. Almost in every sphere, the ties are going stronger and deeper. This issue covers football which is the heartbeat of Africa in two major events. The victory of Egypt at the MTN African Cup 2010 and craziness of the upcoming FIFA World Cup is a sure shot piece of reading. Algeria, Botswana, Côte d’ Ivoire and Uganda, this issue’s highlighted countries speak abundant opportunities available in their economy, culture, tourism, ICT, health sector etc. Emerging economies like Cape Verde and São Tomé & Principe have been fairly dealt with in the state visits of their respective delegates. Trade Forums such as FICCI and CII have been really working in the best of their efforts in organizing grand events to bring both the African Continent and the Indian Sub Continent closer. Recently held ‘Namaskar Africa’ and other such events have really been resourceful for all stratas of society including the agriculture industry, banking and finance, media and others.
