Many Kenyans get their money from the government weekly which is like a lifeline to them in this pandemic time. As thousands of Kenyans lost their jobs in this pandemic and have no other employment ways because of continuous lockdowns. Many Kenyans are also receiving food aids since March when the first coronavirus case was discovered.
Some analysts are concerned about the transparency of the distribution of money among the poor families. Money being sent to different government offices mismanaged through fraudulent procurement processes and inflated costs of medical equipment. These are the concerns that are put under the cabinet ministry regarding the money being sent and how it is used. Now the government has to sanction another 500 million dollars to help more of the Kenyans.
