Kenya Airways Eyes Role in Distribution of Covid Vaccines in Africa

Airlines of Kenya’s national carrier is seeking to play a role in the distribution of Covid-19 vaccines in Africa. The airline is taking advantage of its well-connected airline in Africa. They are taking the vaccines to every region on the continent. They are using its networks and cargo routes especially. Kenya Airways officers have said that cargo business is now the airline’s lifeline due to the covid19 pandemic. 

According to sources, the national carrier is preparing for a role in taking the vaccines to various countries. The officers said that even before the vaccine was announced, they had set up a cold room. It is in Nairobi at a cargo centre. Describing it, it can store heat sensitive products like medicines. Their plan is to see how to support the distribution of these vaccinations across Africa. As they claimed they can fly to 46 destinations worldwide but the majority are in Africa.
