Kenya to ease lockdown for a phase, after months

Kenyan president has announced to ease lockdown for a phase after months for the country’s ailing economy. He has decided to reopen international flights from 1st August and also to resume intercountry flights from 15th July. He had addressed the nation on Monday through televised media. He did so to improve the key industries like tourism which are in crisis due to lockdown.

He has also extended the current nationwide curfew between 9 pm and 4 am for the next 30 days. He said in his speech that health departments will closely observe the repercussions for the next 21 days due to this ease and that he will not hesitate to again impose lockdown if the conditions get worse.
