President Muhammadu Buhari said Nigeria is very close to its dream that is, full utilisation of Nigeria’s abundant gas potentials. It happened on Tuesday in Abuja. He made the remarks at the commissioning of the Integrated Gas Handling Facility. LPG Processing and Dispensing Plants built by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) and also operated by them only. Also an upstream subsidiary of NNPC in Oredo.
The Oredo Integrated Gas Handling Facility is delivering 240,000 metric tons of commercial-grade Liquefied Petroleum Gas and also Propane. They are accompanied by its associated NGLs depot; it’ll also deliver about 205 million standard cubic feet per day of lean gas to the domestic market. Its import substitution benefits us in a way that brings a step closer to self-sufficiency in LPG production. It is also supporting the expansion of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) which is within the host communities. This project will create many direct and indirect employment opportunities. This will be beneficial for our teeming youths (both skilled and unskilled).
