Nigeria: Israel Adesanya Loses ‘Ultimate fighting Championship’ Title!

Spread the news

The fight was critical for Adesanya, who was attempting to become  the fifth fighter in UFC history to hold two titles. Adesanya had mentioned before the match that Blachowiz’s experience and age did not concern him. Both men charged at each other in the first two rounds, making only minor errors.

In the third round, Adesanya made his jabs count, while Blachowicz struggled to take down the middleweight champion after many attempts. Blachowicz scored a takedown after landing a strong left hook and charging forward with a series of punches.

However, Adesanya struggled in the final two rounds as Blachowicz dominated the fight, and the Nigerian fighter was finally defeated in mixed martial arts for the first time. The judges unanimously handed a resounding win to Blachowiz, with the scores 49-46, 49-45, 49-45.
