Nigeria: NECO Announces New Date for Commencement of SSCE

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has declared the examination resumption of the 2020 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). It will be started in all states and Abuja, from November 9. According to sources, the council postponed the examinations due to security challenges caused by the #EndSARS protests. These protests against police brutality, have caused disturbance in all states for exams. 

The examinations will be conducted normally in the states and FCT and will be continued with a new Time-Table from  9th November, 2020 Monday to  28th November, 2020 Saturday. According to sources, the new schedule will be made available to the general public, schools and candidates from November 4. The Time-Table will also be available on the NECO official website: www.neco.gov.ng.
