Nigerian Idol Season 6 to Premiere on Sunday!

Nigerian Idol sixth season, the much awaited singing show of Nigeria is premiering on March 14th 2021, Sunday, from 6pm on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 29.

This is the most popular show and it will open with a special airing of the most entertaining moments from the auditions. The auditions took place late last year. DStv and GOtv customers will be judging this pre-show. They will be rating their performances on www.africamagic.tv/nigerianidol and the most voted will make it to the Judges’ list when the main show starts March 28th .

This Nigerian Idol is a showcase platform for the youths and talented Nigerians to make their dreams come true in music on the local and global stage.  over 3,600 young Nigerians auditioned to be on the show this season according to Africa Magic’s Channel Director, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu,

The show will be hosted by the much-loved media personality, IK Osakioduwa, with superstar singer Seyi Shay, creative entrepreneur, Obi Asika and celebrity DJ, Sose as the Judges. This time the winner of this season’s show will be awarded with a recording contract with a leading record label and will walk away with 50 million Naira worth of prizes.

The show is sponsored by Bigi Drinks and Tecno. Viewers can also watch the show via the DStv app on multiple devices at no additional cost. It will be available on online streaming device, Showmax, across Africa as well as in the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Australia and 23 other countries.
