Nigerian President Muhammad Buhari confirmed the appointment of Dr. Doyin Salami as the new Chief Economic Advisor. Dr. Doyin Salami,59 has a doctorate degree in Economics from the Queen Mary College, University of London. He is a member of the Pan-Atlantic University, Adjunct Faculty at the Lagos Business School (LBS). He attained the Senior Fellow/Associate Professor rank and is also the MD & Head of Marketing at KAINOS Edge Consulting Limited.
As the new Chief Advisor, Dr. Doyin Salami is expected to address the issues pertaining to the domestic economy and closely monitor the national and international trends on economic policy, besides developing policy responses and recommending them to the President.
He will also be responsible for strengthening the macro-economic stability of the country while promoting growth to create employment and eliminate poverty.
