President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that November 1 is going to be celebrated as the National Youth Day. The minister of Youth and Sports Development, in a statement on Twitter, said the national day will be celebrated to attract the attention and find solutions to the issues that affect the youth. In a statement, Mr Dare said that The NYIF, Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) is set up to serve as a Youth Bank that will fund and support the new ideas, skills, talents and enterprise of the Nigerian youth.
He also said that they have also setted up a focal group to help manage the utilisation of the newly-approved fund. This group is an assemblage of youth leaders and groups from diverse fields, entrepreneurial experts and individuals with youth development and finance experience.
