Radio legend Bob Mabena dies at the age of 51!

The unexpected death of the radio legend Bob Mabena has left the whole of South Africa in shock and in tears. He was 51 years old. He was known as Bob ‘The Jammer’ Mabena and had joined  Radio Bop back in 1989. He died on Monday and was a station manager of POWER FM. He also joined the SABC and Radio Metro (now Metro FM) and hosted music shows Studio Mix and Pick a Tune.

The station announced his death with tears on 10th August. His reason for death was due to cardiac arrest. He was ill on Friday and was admitted to a hospital for the whole weekend. When he was discharged on Monday, his wife driving him back to the home he suddenly had a heart attack and despite all the efforts put by the staff, he died later that day.
