Somalia: Govt Stops Visas on Arrival for Kenyans

Somalia has suspended the visa-on-arrival plan for Kenyans. Travellers now required to apply for the permits. This will be done at the embassy in Nairobi. This will be in effect from December 13. It is done to contain the covid19 virus infection as said by Somalia’s Immigration and Naturalization Directorate.

According to the federal government’s policy of ensuring security, improving migration management will ultimately reduce the risks of Covid-19 infection. All Kenyans travelling to Somalia will now take visas from Somali embassies. It is declared on Monday. Any traveller with a Kenyan passport that does not follow the above policy will be denied entry, the agency warned.
