South Africa: Black People at Higher Risk of Dying From Covid-19 – Report

A report has been introduced by the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) that the black African are more prone to Covid19 infection as compared to the White people. Black people deaths are more than the White people. This came in as they are also prone to additional factors like hypertension, diabetes, chronic cardiac disease, chronic renal disease, malignancy, HIV, or tuberculosis.

The health department has divided  the population into Black South African, White South African, Coloured South African, Asian South African, and Other/Unspecified.they have said that race, for the first time associated with death.
