Zweli Mkhize, South African Minister for Health, and his wife were positive for COVID 19, as claimed late on Sunday by their office. On Saturday he was examined after having mild virus symptoms. Trained doctor Mkhize was at the forefront of the South African pandemic fight and on Sunday urged citizens, by using masks, frequently sanitisation and keeping social separation, to continue sticking to healthcare protocols.

“I am now in quarantine reception and both my wife and that I remain optimistic that we’ll fully get over this virus,” Mkhize was quoted as saying within the statement. Whatever we do and wherever we go, we’ve to stay in mind that there remains a risk of a second wave,” he said.
