Tanzania bans Kenya Airways entry into the country

Spread the news

Tanzania has banned the flights coming from Kenya into their country. It is the latest move made by Tanzanian authorities against the Kenyans. This may turn into deepening the conflicts between the two neighbouring countries. The Tanzanian authorities said in their defence that they have done so after the Kenyan government decided that Tanzanian passengers would be allowed to enter Kenya when commercial flights resumed on Saturday as per the coronavirus restrictions.

Tanzania says that it is a reciprocal move. Hamza Johari, TCCA Director-General wrote in a letter on Friday to invalidate its approval for Kenya Airways flights between Nairobi and Dar/Kilimanjaro/Zanzibar effective August 1, 2020, until further notice.
