The World Bank report indicates an astounding growth of Tanzania as it has moved from 139th position in 2016 to 132nd position in 2017, scoring well among the countries that have performed remarkably in Sub-Saharan Africa.

With a stirring score of 54.48 points in Distance to Frontier (DTF) and ascending seven places in global ranking, Tanzania shines in the Doing Business report.

In his statement as a response to the report, Private Sector Development Programme Coordinator in the Prime Minister’s Office Barney Laseko said that for better performances in future, the government aims to reform the business environment of the country.

Business licensing, land reforms, easy registration of businesses and people’s registration are the four key areas which must be targeted to bring a change in business status of the country.
