Tanzanian president condemns the attack on one of his major critics

John Magufuli, the President of Tanzania reacted fiercely to the gun attack on an opposition lawmaker. He commanded the security agencies to investigate the case and identify the culprit as soon as possible.

One of the major critics of John Magufuli, Tundu Lissu was shot by an unknown gunman in Dadoma, the administrative capital of the country. He was injured and intensely wounded and was sent to the hospital immediately for the treatment. Both the parties the ruling as well as the main opposition condemned the attack.

As per the CCM’s statement, the party members and leaders are upset by the attack, they’re praying for his speedy recovery. The party wants the police authorities to investigate proactively and take the necessary legal action against the culprit.

Tundu Lissu is a trained lawyer and is known to be one of the leading critics of the president Magufuli.
