United Airlines have launched the first flight to Accra, Ghana from Washington DC, United States. It is from their new service and the carrier is now operating three times a week service to Accra from Dulles International. According to flight schedules, Flight UA996 departs from Dulles International Airport at 18:15 every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday to arrive at Kotoka International Airport at 08:40 the next morning. On the return, UA997 departs from Accra at 23:45 on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday to arrive in the DC area at 06:30 the next day.
CEO Jack Potter said that “The National Capital Region is home to one of the largest populations of native Ghanaians in the United States, and we are honored to welcome United Airlines’ new route from Dulles International to Accra, as we work together to forge a crucial new link between our two countries”.
