Weapons seized from Gambia’s former President Yahya Jammeh.

Banjul-  West African force on Monday said that it had seized weapons from home of Yahya Jammeh, after which they arrested a high ranking Gambian general. Senegalese General Francois Ndiaye said. “All the weapons and ammunitions are now under Ecowas custody. The situation is under control.”

Four guards of Jammeh’s wife, Zainab, were also arrested, in the border town of Karang in Senegal, and were being held in Dakar. According to Ndiaye, the guards are needed to be screened and a background check needs to be done, so that we have all the information about them.
