WHO alerts and asks for help fighting growing Ebola outbreak

Spread the news

On Thursday the World Health Organisation(WHO) alerted Democratic Republic of Congo about the growing Ebola Virus. It also warned about the shortage of funds which is going to happen to fight the deadly disease. According to the organisation, 56 cases are observed in the equator which is more than the total number of cases of the 2018 outbreak.

Matshidiso Moeti, the WHO’s regional director for Africa said that Covid19 distracted us from concentrating on other diseases and the ebola virus is running into headwinds because cases are scattered across remote areas in dense rainforests.
