Zimbabwe: ED Donates Us$27 000 for School Construction in Zambia

The Zimbabwean government has donated US$26,344 to the Kavalamanja Memorial Primary School in Zambia for the development of two classroom blocks. Charity Charamba confirmed the development of Zimbabwe’s Zimbabwe ambassador to Zambia.

According to Zambia media reports, Zambia Permanent Secretary Fredrick Phiri has been handed the cash over to the Ministry of Defense.Chairman Emmerson Mnangagwa studied law and worked in Zambia for some time after his family was deported in the early 1960s from Rhodesia.

The role Zambia has played in the Zimbabwe freedom struggle is an important undertaking, which continues to strengthen relations with both countries, according to Zambia’s Deputy Army Commander Dennis Sitali. In Kavalamanja and in the Luangwa district of Lusaka, the Zambians died through Rhodesian forces in support of the liberation fight according to Sitali.
