$575 million & 10 years later, Senegal’s new airport to see the light of the day

After almost a decade of development and postponement, the largest airport in Senegal will open on December 7, 2017.

The airport, Blaise Diagne International (BDI) that takes over services from Leopold Sedar Senghor International in Dakar, will have an initial capacity for three million passengers per year, rising to 10 million per year, making it one of the highest-capacity airports in Africa.
