The Minister of Defence of Luxembourg, Étienne Schneider, and the Minister of National Defence of Portugal, José Alberto Azeredo Lopes, will make an official visit to Cape Verde from 05 to 07 August 2018, at the invitation of their counterpart, the Minister of Defence of Cape Verde, Luís Filipe Tavares.
This visit, among others, aims to analyze and design trilateral defence relations between these countries, to be achieved through the signing of a Joint Declaration on Trilateral Cooperation.
Included in the agenda are working meetings with delegations from the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Maritime Economy, a courtesy visit to the President of the Republic, visits to military units on the islands of Santiago and São Vicente, and economic ventures.
