RADP Unifies All Its Brands Under PULSE

One of Africa’s leading media groups, Ringier Africa Digital Publishing (RADP), is unifying its properties across the continent-to create one integrated media company under the “Pulse” name. The former RADP group of properties will now be known collectively as Pulse in Africa with the merger. The digital media subsidiary ‘ Pulse’ will maintain the digital news outlets Pulse.ng (Nigeria), Pulse.com.gh (Ghana) and Pulselive.co.ke (Kenya), as well as its popular news channels on social media. Its well-known ‘Pulse TV’ arm of digital video platforms will also keep the current name. Henceforth its digital marketing business ‘Ringier Digital Marketing’ (RDM) will be known as ‘Pulse Marketing,’ while its creative production arm ‘Play Studio’ will be known as ‘Pulse Studio.’

Pulse will also widen its editorial and national content range following the merger-with the launch of Pulse Business as well as the launch of Pulse.sn in Senegal. Pulse will cover business and finance news while Pulse Senegal will expand Francophone Africa’s coverage to the Pulse.

Speaking on the development, Leonard Stiegler, founder of the new set-up: “Pulse is a regional champion news and entertainment brand built up over many years by great teams in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Senegal. Our value for our constituency of users is to be a publisher for this mobile and social generation. Our work for clients in the field of marketing and media taps into the creativity and insights that come from this – telling stories that connect. I am looking forward to growing our integrated Pulse offering for the benefit of our users and clients.”

Although Pulse will be a dedicated company with local experience, Ringier, a multinational Swiss media group, will continue to be a significant independent sponsor for Pulse, offering its marketing expertise. The unification of the brand, Yetunde Oyeleke, Marketing Director for Pulse affirms that the company remains committed to creating value for consumers and users across markets in a sustainable way.

Pulse has operations and teams in 4 African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, and Senegal – and is also covering Uganda in East Africa and Cote d’Ivoire in Francophone Africa remotely.
