Nigerian doctors strike over inadequate PPE Kits

Nigerian doctors have decided to go on strike as of 15 June for lack of Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) kits which was informed by the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). But they have ensured that they will treat coronavirus patients and will keep working.

The  National Association of Resident Doctors(NARD) represents 40% of doctors staff, who stated that the decision to start on a total uncertain strike with the exception only for COVID-19 treatment centres has been taken and it will come into an effect on June 15.

This is the second time in less than a month that Nigerian doctors have gone on strike. The first one was on 20th May to protest police harassment of its members despite publicly declared exemptions for health care workers.
