As the coronavirus pandemic hits hard global crude oil demand, a sign has been embarked that no fewer than 14, 000 staff of ExxonMobil will lose their jobs. It is coming because the corporation disclosed plans to chop its global workforce by 15% within the next two years.
According to a spokesman at ExxonMobil the total reduction means the company will cut short its staff by about 14,000 people, divided between employees and contractors from year-end 2019 levels. These cuts will be only possible through attrition. they will target redundancy programs in the year 2021, and scaled-back hiring staff in some countries. They have been cutting costs thanks to a collapse in oil demand and costs and also untimely stalk on new projects.
