YouNeek Studios has secured funding to create a grooming animation series on the basis of a fantasy universe inspired by African history and legend following a monumental 10 book deal on Dark Horse Comics.
“This is an unprecedented time for stories inspired by African history and culture,” said Roye Okupe, founder of YouNeek Studios. “Our mission has always been to empower African creatives and storytelling. We’ve done it successfully in the comic book industry and we’re excited at the opportunity to do it in the animation space.”
