African Champions League: Who is through to the semi-finals?

The African Champions League didn’t disappoint this Saturday. Al Ahly of Egypt booked an area for the semi-finals with a 1-1 draw over South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns. Ahly made a victorious return to South Africa coach Pitso Mosimane against his former club.

In Tanzania, South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs were able to withstand a fightback by Simba in the race to the semi-finals.

Simba started the quarter-final 4-0 down from the first leg and Cletus Chama scored within the 86th minute to win 3-4 to Simba.

But Algerian club, MC Algiers got out at the last minute of the match. CRB was not able to manage its victory after a penalty shoot-out against ES Tunis, who won 2-0. As for the furious semi-finals on June 18, Al Ahly will face Esperance Tunis while the Kaizer Chiefs will face Wydad Casablanca. The first leg matches in Tunisia and Morocco are scheduled for June 25.
