It would take a traveler years to fully experience every place and culture that Cape Town has to offer, this famously known Mother-City and tourism capital of South Africa will keep you on your toes as soon as you land here. So, to make the most of your trip, move along with your travel itinerary.

Attractions worth visiting at Cape Town

To start with, Table Mountain can be on your priority attraction list. Depending upon your timeframe and ability of travel, you can choose your mode of transport and take different routes to the amazing place. If you fancy a hike but wish to keep it less tiring, there is Devil’s Peak and Twelve Apostles facing the Atlantic Ocean that will amaze you with its view.

The 528-hectare Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are another travel-worthy nature reserve comprising the indigenous fynbos and lush green forests. Upon spending some fun time at the Glen, Clifton, and Camp Bay beaches, you can tour the Chapman’s Peak drive in a car to find the spectacular driving routes with scenic beauty swaying your breath away.

Coming to Africa and not indulging in wildlife visits will keep your travel incomplete. South Africa is home to some of the most exotic and flourishing wildlife in the world. From the Big Five- Lions, Black Rhinoceros, Leopards, African Buffalo, and African Bush Elephant to the beauty of national parks, Cape Town is a wildlife lover’s delight.

To make things more exciting, your tour must-see attraction is Hermanus- whale watching during certain seasons (mid-July and November-December), which is only a two-hour drive from Cape Town.

For the shopping enthusiasts, Alfred Waterfront and Victoria are a must-visit, along with a short trip to Nelson Mandela gateway that offers the most beautiful sunset tour.

Cape Winelands

With world-class accommodation, food, nightlife, shopping, and views, Cape Town Winelands should definitely be on your priority list, so you can split your tours at least half for this lavish place.

Two of the most famous Winelands areas in Cape Town are Franshoek and Stellenbosh. While both are just an hour away from the Town center, you can plan for one place visit if you are on a tight schedule.

Your visit to Winelands will of course include tasting and drinking wine so it is recommended that you book a guided tour that will brief you on the richness and history of the place.

Vital things to consider before traveling to Cape Town owing to Covid restrictions?

Travelers will have to show a negative RTPCR COVID-19 test to the authorities to get entry into South Africa. The test must be taken within 72 hours of your departure. Mask wearing is mandatory for everyone in public places and non-compliance of the same in Cape Town would account for a criminal offense. You will also be required to sanitize your hands before entering any public place to mitigate the spread of the virus.
