The Democratic Republic of Congo has been hit by the new Ebola virus outbreak. 17 infected and 11 deaths have already been reported, in the western province of Equateur, health authorities said on Monday.
The officials reported 12 infections last week in the country, where workers are also dealing with a measles epidemic that has killed 6000 people. There are 4800 people infected with Covid-19 and 112 are dead. The National Institute of Biomedical Research has confirmed 14 Ebola cases in the city of Mbandaka on June 1. WHO said more than 2500 people have been vaccinated and it helped to control the Ebola virus to an extent.
