The Justice Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Celestin Tunda has given his resignation over a dispute with the President. The dispute was to propose laws that will give the political authorities more control over criminal prosecutions. He resigned in a TV program on Saturday with no reason.

Tunda is the first minister to resign and also it was a normal resignation because the minister acted in violation of the line laid down by the government. Tunda said in his speech that he resigned from governmental position because of the judgment made by his actions which only strengthened the governmental Rule of Law.
