The joint United Nations and African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) has condemned deadly violence in Sudan’s North Darfur province. They attacked a camp for internally displaced people (IDPs). On Tuesday they expressed their grieves over the attack that erupted in the town of Kutum on July 12 as some unidentified armed men attacked the camp leaving 9 people dead and 20 wounded.

UNAMID also said in their statement that it is not good that these attacks have been done while the government of Sudan is making negotiations to bring peace and stability.
