Bahari and Discover has said it has said it has acquired an additional 2,330 kilometers of 2D seismic data offshore Comoros. The acquired area, totaling approximately 18,000 km², is located in the western part of Comoros, where rich natural gas resources, estimated at around 175 trillion cubic feet (TCF), were previously discovered by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Eni S.p.A., and their partners. Following the acquisition of the 2D seismic data, Bahari and Discover now have 3,900 kilometers more than expected. Preliminary interpretation of the 2D seismic data indicates that the reservoir shows positive potential for upcoming drilling exercises.
