A new dawn has broken for Kenya’s green climate goal, as the Green Climate Fund (GCF) has sanctioned approximately $130 million to combat climate change challenges and enhance sustainable development. The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) will spearhead the initiative, driving a low-carbon agriculture campaign to reduce greenhouse emissions through vegetable cultivation, poultry, and dairy farming.
The project will provide training on climate-smart technologies to over 143,000 farmers in Kenya. Additionally, the GCF-FAO initiative will extend support to Serbia, benefiting around 3.6 million people.
