Donald Trump, the US presidential candidate has stated that the Somali community in Minnesota saying “some of them are joining Isis and spreading their extremist views.” Around 50,000 Somalis are in Minnesota.
Betsy Hodges, the mayor of Minneapolis, gave her reaction on Facebook saying Somali immigrants made her city, in Minnesota state, a “better, stronger place”. It is worth noting that she is from the Democratic Party, while Mr Trump is a Republican.
