Valentina Guebuza of Mozambique ‘killed by her husband

In a shocking incident of domestic violence, Valentina Guebuza, one of Mozambique’s richest women, has been shot dead by her husband. Zofino Muiuane was arrested after Mrs Guebuza was killed at their home in the capital, Maputo.  Mrs Guebuza, who was 36 years old is the daughter of Mozambique’s ex-President Armando Guebuza, who ruled from 2005 to 2015. She had married Mr Muiuane in 2014 at a lavish ceremony. Mrs Guebuza became one of Mozambique’s wealthiest businesswomen during her father’s presidency. Mrs Guebuza has been listed by Forbes in 2013 as one of the 20 most powerful women in Africa.
