President HAGE GEINGOB of NAMIBIA says his government will refine its economic policies until the country becomes the most competitive in AFRICA.
He says the drive is meant to make the SADC nation ONE of the most viable economies in the world; with the aim for a positive change in the livelihood of NAMIBIANS.
President GEINGOB says despite progress made over the years, social deficits like high unemployment, poor income distribution, limited access to land, as well as urban hunger and poverty still exist.
He says such shortfalls represent a looming threat to national peace, stability and democratic fundamentals; because inequality is a potential disruption to sound governance.
President GEINGOB says NAMIBIA wants to rid itself of such ailments before they become fatal; which is why the government has declared an all-out war against poverty and the resultant inequalities.
He also says the focal point in the war will be to address inequality, poverty and hunger; by exploring a range of choices.
