Kampala, Uganda, July 18, 2018/- Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, Jacob Oulanyah, called on MPs to exercise caution during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his communication during the sitting of the House on Tuesday, he said, “Hosting a visiting head of state in Parliament is not an ordinary event. We should reflect dignity and honour which is commensurate to Parliament”.

The Indian Premier will address the Parliament of Uganda on July 25. The visiting Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President Yoweri Museveni.

Prime Minister Modi is travelling to the African continent to attend the BRICS Summit in South Africa from July 25-27.  He is also likely to visit Rwanda on July 23-24.
