Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi has resigned from her post. While she announced her resignation she was receiving threats to her life and her family, this is one of the reasons why she is stepping down. This move came after months of arguments at the assembly that saw MCA divided. Some of them were in her support and majority in the opposition leadership.
She remarked to Governor Sonko that he cannot go on threatening people like this always. He also has his family. He should be happy in what God has given him. After this governor could be the major reason for her resignation.
