Kenyan and Tanzanian Presidents Sign Pipeline Deal

The presidents of Kenya and Tanzania have signed a deal for a gas pipeline on Tuesday. It will run between the coastal cities of Mombasa and Dar es Salaam. On Tuesday, Samia Suluhu Hassan, Tanzanian President made her first visit to Kenya after the death of her predecessor, John Magufuli.

According to sources, after a closed-door meeting that lasted more than three hours, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta said that the two countries are making moves to improve their relations as the 2 East African nations grew strained during the five years of Magufuli’s period as President. Magufuli died of heart condition in March and was replaced by Hassan, his vice chairman .

Kenyatta assures that this deal will improve the lives of his people and businesses and also will help reduce the value of electrical power.
