The Israeli bombardment of Gaza has taken a new and troubling turn today, so we’ll start with that. Officials say an Israeli airstrike on a home killed eight children and two adults, all from the same extended family. In Israel, a man was also killed by a Palestinian missile. The Associated Press and Al Jazeera were then located in a building in Gaza that was destroyed by Israel. The building was also allegedly used by Palestinian militants, according to Israel. The Associated Press expressed shock and horror at the attack in a statement. President Biden has met with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas since then.

From there, they’ve reported on three previous Gaza-Israel wars. The building’s owner received a call today from the Israeli military, telling him to leave immediately. We’re going to target. As a result, AP staffers said they dashed down 11 flights of stairs and stood back to watch. Al Jazeera also captured the building owner pleading with an Israeli official on the phone, saying, “Give us just a few more minutes to get more cameras out of the building.” Three missiles landed on the high rise an hour after the alert had been issued. The building totally collapsed as a result of a large ball of fire. Israel now claims that Hamas used the structure as a research and development center as well. Israel hasn’t given any evidence.
