In Somalia, the leaders of two neighbouring regions have agreed to honour and respect a ceasefire. This is because of repeated violations that has claimed around 45 lives in recent weeks. President Abdiweli Mohamed Ali of Puntland and Abdilkarim Hussein Guled, his counterpart in Galmudug, met on Saturday in the central Somalia town of Galkayo. The truce was designed to end frequent fights between rival clans.
