A continent in which the leaders are infamous for their unwillingness to leave power, Mali was left in shock when it’s Prime Minister Abdoulaye Idrissa Maïga and his government resigned, few months prior to the scheduled presidential polls.

While authorities gave no reason for this abrupt vacancy of power, the President’s office informed that Maïga along with his government handed his resignation on Friday, when it was accepted.
