With Readwhere Innovation Challenge, we are providing you with a platform to create product innovations that generate diversification and growth for your brand, for both readership and revenues. Through this collaboration, we would like to encourage ideas that create a rich ecosystem for high-quality journalism. Also when it comes to year 2020, this year has challenged  the news industry that their audience or readers should reach faster, richer, more geo focussed and with greater relevance than ever before.

Your ideas could be around new layouts for showcasing news, new formats like vertical videos & stories, more local coverage, etc.

The central theme of your idea should be around increasing news consumption, innovatively.

What do the winners get?

The jury will pick out projects that focus on the creation of sustainable models that drive revenue, engagement and help journalism flourish more. These winners will be rewarded with:A technical and financial grant of up to ₹ 10 lakhs, to work through the concept.

Technical support by Team Readwhere including a full package of development services including PWA, AMP, AI & ML tools etc.

Who can participate?

A company, freelancer/ sole proprietor, partnership/ consortium, an association or a non- profit organization can be a part of this program.

What is the selection procedure for participation?

The selection will take place in two stages. For the first phase, participants are required to register themselves and submit a concept note explaining their innovative ideas.

The jury including Readwhere senior management, editorial heads along with well-known technology and marketing personalities will pick out the best concepts which will further go to phase two.

All the participants who make it through stage one will be required to submit the following:

Product mock-up

A short video explaining the innovative idea

Results expected

Funds allocation break-up

Tech assistance required
