The Director-General, Global Centre for Human Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development, GLOCHEED, Mrs. Rose Gyar has called on the Federal government to make Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurship a priority as a means to boosting the economy considering the catastrophe that has befallen the sector as a result of COVID-19.
The Director-General who also advocated for increased participation of women in small and medium Scale Entrepreneurship made this known in a release to journalists in Abuja recently.
Mrs. Rose while urging the government on making SME a priority, disclosed that her organization would soon be staging a hitch-free event with FCT Mass Literacy and Raw Materials Research and Development Council, RMRDC, as to enhance the speedy achievement of the Global Centre for Human Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Development’s goals.
Rose who also applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for initiating schemes, programs, and policies geared toward inhabiting poverty in the country lauded the SMEDAN Director-General, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, stressing that his tireless efforts in adding value to the Agency through keying into the Buhari led government initiatives regarding SMEDAN is a welcome development.
